Our new family tradition has been going to eat at Effina's Tuscan Grille in Jacksonville, AL after church every Sunday. We've been doing this about a month now, and the food is amazing and affordable now that they have Sunday Brunch. I've got to be honest, I miss those Sundays when I got to take a good nap. Those days are long gone, and I guess I'll get to nap again when Walker goes to college. We moved to Jacksonville about three or four months ago and we love it. A change of scenery is good for any soul sometimes. I can't wait for Spring when we can get out on Saturdays and Sundays and do fun things. I'm dying to buy Walker a baby speedo swim suit; I think that will be adorable. Anyway, Ricky and I have been having some great conversations at Effina's about church. When Walker is our change, church will look radically different. Church may not be looked at as a building people go to on Sundays but rather a way of life. Hmmm...what do we need to do now to make people want more than just a Sunday morning worship service? We use Sundays at lunch to talk about how we can do that-how we can show people how church can be so much more than what it is now. We'll keep talking, planning, and will keep you posted if we get a big epiphany.
Until then,
Jess
