JJ Brea Brea-my new #GhettoNickName

Saw on twitter tonight that one of the trends today is #GhettoNickName and I laughed inside. It reminded me of a time a few years ago that a school asked us to DJ their dance. My DJ name was JJ Brea Brea. We couldn't believe they asked us to DJ their school dance because we are not professional DJ's and definitely didn't have any kind of equipment. But they were serious about having us, so they borrowed the equipment from a local church and we DJ'd their dance. It was a blast! Crazy thing, that experienced launched us into our DJ career. Since then, we've done a Christmas work party, new years party, wedding, and another dance--all without any equipment! Haha! It sort of just always works out. We have two bookings for valentines functions if we can find the time. We enjoy doing them...we just wish the days were longer and life slowed down. How is it that two people SO unqualified can keep getting asked to do something like this? How is it that two people who had no experience or equipment could enjoy a new hobby so much? God definitely does that with us, doesn't he? We are so under qualified to do his work but He keeps asking us, and it ends up being so much fun. Serving shouldn't feel like a chore. We are not meant to get burned out and over-committed. Serving can be way more than we ever anticipated. We may not have the proper equipment to serve but it always seems to work out anyway.
